Brief Answer:
Diagnosis: Peripheral neuropathy most likely

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

The pain and spasms you are experiencing in times and fingers are likely due to peripheral neuropathy, which is damage to the peripheral nerve. There are several underlying conditions that result in peripheral neuropathy like diabetes, hypothyroidism, vitamin b12 deficiency. Uremia etc.

Clinical examination, nerve conduction study, complete metabolic profile, vitamin B12 levels, thyroid function test are needed at this point

Please be advised to follow up with your primary care provider for detailed evaluation.
Management includes the use of medications like Gabapentin to control nerve pain and treatment of underlying condition like diabetes.

You can apply Capsaicin cream to the affected areas to reduce pain.

Hope this answers your question. Please let me know if you need further clarification.

Dr. Lekshmi
