Should I Be Worried About A Large Hard Vein In The Armpit That Is A Bit Sore?

Question: I had a mole removed by cauterization a month ago. I have been noticing a large hard vein in armpit that is a bit sore. Should I be worried?

thanks for following up. The mole kinda hung like a skin tab but much bigger. It was a dark brown color and never has changed since it has been there forever but always was in the way and was ugly. Biopsy came back good but my dr just closed his doors and I am not able to return to him. The hard tendon or vein has just appeared after mole was removed.

Brief Answer:
Maybe blocked vein

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

I wanted to know some more information about the mole you removed.

* did it has changed in shape, color or borders?
* what is the reason you removed it?
*did the doctor got any biopsy done?

Maybe a vein is partially closed by cauterization and gas gradually formed a varicose vein.
In that case, the doctor should remove it by surgical procedure.

Hope I have answered the question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Brief Answer:
May be phlebitis is possible.

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

OK, it is good that the mole didn't change and biopsy come back good.
I think there is inflammation of vain or even infection of it called phlebitis.
This comes from surgery.
Use antinflamatory drugs such advil or acetaminophen.
May be even antibiotics may be used.
Use ice compresses and compress area.
