Is there any reasons why water breakage takes place?

I am going through lot of depression because of this premature delivery

He was in NICU for 25 days. Now he is at home.

I have a few queries related to my preemie Please let me know
•     Whether Diaper use has any side effects on my baby?
•     Should I use diapers or any other method?
•     Can I make him sleep with me in bed?
•     Can I massage him? If yes then how?
•     Which cream or lotion I can use on my Baby skin to make it smooth on a regular basis?
•     He is passing motion every 3-4 days, is it ok or need to consult doctor?sometimes he is having constipation also, please advice
•     Should I clean his mouth every morning? If yes then how?
•     Can I give him water to drink? If yes then how much?

Hi XXXXXXX
Thanks for consulting us.
This premature membrane rupture has many causes, most important ones being genital tract infection ( which may be asymptomatic ) & cervical insufficiency. However there may be some minor trauma, abnormal lie or no identifiable cause in some women.
Your baby is now as mature as a term baby as he has passed your EDD ( expected date of delivery). So, treat him like a normal term newborn unless instructed by the pediatrician involved.
He can wear diapers like all other babies. If you are afraid of rashes you may use any over the counter nappy rash cream containing zinc oxide ( unless your baby is allergic to it).
Yes, he can sleep with you but you have to be careful not to injure his delicate body while asleep.
There are a number of bay lotions & creams available in the market ( Mothercare, Johnson's etc ) you may use them unless your baby's skin is exta sensitive. In that case you must discuss this issue with your pediatrician.
Massage can be done as you want there is no special technique just be gentle.
Babies don't need water till 4-6 month of age.
I don't know which milk your baby is on. IF he is taking some formula feed please report his bowel habit to your pediatrician as a change in milk may relieve his constipation.
It is not necessary to clean baby's mouth every day rather it may be a source of infection transmission if not done carefully.
Hope I have addressed you concerns please write back if you have any question.
Wish you good health.
Take care.
