Hi there XXXXXXX I note the query & your concern seems more the 'puple colour'?
If there are ulcers & cuts, it suggests some sort of trauma to the region. It may or may not be herpetic in origin. Have you had any sexual intercourse using the anal route in the recent past? Was it 'protected'? If so, how long after did this occur?
If as you say you do have Herpes, is it type1 or type 2 & in which area of your body did it first appear & was it diagnosed using any blood tests for eg IgG & IgM serum tests? Dont worry, it is a simple matter of treating the issue at hand. It is very possible that if there has been repeated anal coitus, then external hemoorhoids (enlarged local blood vessels) in the region may also be responsible for the purple colour. Do revert with answers to my queries & shall attempt to point you in the right direction. Dont worry, the matter is not serious...relax..should be soreted out soon. P.S. It would be helpful if you could upload a clear photograph of the perianal region. Cheers & await your response!

I have not had any anal intercourse before and I was diagnosed with type 1 about a year and a half ago by a swab test it first appeared on the vaginal area. You want a picture of my problem ? Will anyone else see it ?

Hey XXXXXXX
If no anal intercourse, then no issues with regards to cuts et al...may be just a candidal/fungal infection or even pin-worm infestation..does it itch & more at night?
Type 1 is usually oral herpes virus infection & unlikely in the genital area...unless you are sexually active & even then, will have to have been oral sex involving the region..was there such an event & if so, how long ago was the last exposure & were there multiple partners & were you able to trace the contact (assuming you have been sexually active..not being judgemental here in the least)
Yes..a photograph of the region would be good..dont worry, the site is safe & has the veritas sign..no-one else should have acess to it other than me except perhaps the site adminiatrator if sent on this premier question portal.
Await your response.

It itches when i wipe or when i wash the area and sometimes i will wake up at night and will be itchy but only a tiny bit, when it first started about a week ago it was extremely itchy all the time. Yes I am sexually active and I did get the virus from oral sex, I was last exposed when I first got it which was about a year and a half ago, I'm not sure how to upload the photo ? Could you tell me please, thanks.

Am as bad as technology as you are ;-) But apparently, once you take the photograph..this can be done yourself using a 5 mega pixel camera or greater..but ensure clarity..then use the 'upload data' icon & upload it as a jpeg file. If you wish & desire anonymity, do use my email id YYYY@YYYY if the former does not work. Again, from your history, unlikely to be herpes infection; possibility of helminthiasis (worm infestation) more likely & /or a perianal itch following hemorrhoids in the region (the latter accounting for the purple colour). Cheers & await your upload. I understand the area is 'sensitive' when you swab or wipe..but will try to help sort this out soon...dont worry your pretty head..cheers!

Ou didn't ask me any questions in this one, but how can I treat fissures? Or do they heal them selves because I have noticed there not quiet as bad anymore,
Thanks!

Hey XXXXXXX ..technology is a funny tool..could not answer here unless you pinged back :( .
You seem to be spot on..it seems to be healing on its own. I recommend using a bioderma product called Atoderm PO zinc that soothens the area & acts as a protective cream (used in babies for diaper rash hence gentle). Your diet needs to be addressed & drink loads of water & if you like, fresh leafy veggies ( i hate em personally) to increase the roughage & keep the feces et al soft avoiding any trauma to this region.
As for the herpes part, please do a serum IgG & IgM test for herpes1 & 2..this will tell you current status of recent or old infection. Herpes usually afflicts a similar site each time there is a recurrence. From my understanding, it was on the labia last episode. Now the threat is almost gone. Oral antivirals for herpes are best taken when the disease process starts up ie next time you feel the rash appearing (prodrome symptoms of itch/pain etc appear just before the lesions spring up), that is when you have to start the oral antiviral medications & either famciclovir 125 mg three times /day or acyclovir 400mg 5 times/day over a 5 day cycle are possibly the drugs of choice. Please do feel free to call on mois then if you need clarifications.
I note your last sexual contact was 1 1/2 years ago going by your history..i trust this was a single partner; the risk increases with multiple partners & one should make sure they are treated if pursuing intimate realtions with them. Enjoy yourself but do practice safe sex & feel free to check in should you require any tips therof!
Cheers & trust all your queries stand answered & your mind & perianal regions are at peace! Au Revoir!
