Brief Answer:
About growth hormone and underactive thyroid;

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

First let me say that synthroid is the only approved treatment for underactive thyroid.
There are many studies blaming different hormone abnormalities; but none of them is approved.
There is a simple logic: growth hormone therapy at this age, may have far more side effects than taking synthroid for umderactive thyroid.
So, nevertheless the propability for a possible conection between them, at the end growth hormone therapy will hardly get approved by FDA due to side effects that can have.
So, i would suggest to continue the treatment with synthroid.

Best wishes,
Dr. Mirjeta
