Question: Post Kidney Stone removal surgery, I'm still left with the stent inside but after a week of discharge I'm getting fevers as high as 100 . My doctor suggested I under go a change of antibiotic(Mero 1g) and now he suggested and under went procedure to add urine bag back. But the fever hasn't come down. During evenings fever only comes down after paracetamol 100ml IV infusion. Can someone please suggest what needs to be done to reduce the fever? asap? Please note my CBC, Creatine and blood urea along with the urine culture reported as normal

I think you need to continue the meropenem treatment and it will soon give the results on reducing fever. Also continue taking paracetamol to reduce fever.

Thanks for the answer but are there any alternatives to dolo 650? it's really not doing it's job well and I'm also started having cough from last 2 days?

Dolo 650 mg is acetaminophen, paracetamol, and another alternative can be ibuprofen 600 mg.
I don't think you may need other medications now since you are taking Mero.
If cough continues you may need to do further examinations about it like a doctor listening to your lungs or lungs x-ray.
