Thank you for your query.

Liposuction is not a weight loss procedure.. it is more a body contouring procedure.

But yes, if you feel certain areas of you body are not in proportion like your tummy then it can be corrected by Liposuction. The procedure involves removing fat by making small 1-1.2cm cuts to suck out the fat.

After the procedure you will be required to wear a pressure garment to help with the swelling and to help the skin to shrink back.

About 70% of the swelling will be gone in a few weeks, but full healing takes anywhere between 3-4 months. You can resume your normal activities in a few days.

The procedure has to be done by qualified cosmetic surgeons to get the best results and avoid complications.

It is a well tolerated procedure and gives good results.

But in men, where unlike woman about 50% of the abdominal fat in inside ( intra abdominal) which is not targeted by liposuction, the results will be limited. But the exacts can only be determined after examining you.

So, please go ahead with the procedure after consulting with a qualified cosmetic surgeon. You can check the credentials of your surgeon or check on the Association of Plastic Surgeons of India site.

All the best for your procedure.
