Brief Answer:
I recommend you tell your docor about this!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about your pain. I am happy you are able to manage your pain without requiring these potent pain medications. It is always a safer and better approach.

I however recommend you tell your doctor about this. Main reason is that patients on such medications get random urine checks and if they find out you have not been taking it through this means, they will stop supplying and it would have far reaching complications.

I hope this guides and helps. I wish you well. Feel free to follow up with me if need be.

Brief Answer:
Burning medications is not always a good idea. It is wastage

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks so much for this follow up.

You don't need to state how long you have been doing this. My suggestion is to tell the doctor at the next visit that you no longer want medications and would like to try other measures. This way, your prescription would not be refilled and would not raise eyebrows over past prescriptions to warrant in depth review.

I hope this helps. I wish you well.
