On The Side Of My Nose Fibrous Papule, And I Also Have Sebaceous Hyperplasia On Other Locations Of My Face The Spot Hasn’t Changed Or Grown At All. In Your Opinion, Does It Appear To Be A Fibrous Papule To You Or Something Else?

Question: Hello...I’m attaching two images of the side of my nose where I’ve marked a small raised lesion. It has been there a very long time and my dermatologist has used electeocautery to “dehydrate” it in the past. I also have a similar one on the tip of my nose. I believe she indicated it is a fibrous papule, and I also have sebaceous hyperplasia on other locations of my face. The spot hasn’t changed or grown at all. In your opinion, does it appear to be a fibrous papule to you or something else?

It is looking like a fibrous papule.
It is a benign lesion which can be easily removed by electrocautery.
Nothing to worry about.

Hi Dr. Sawhney! Thank you so much for your quick and reassuring response! One last question...I’m attaching another image of the bump on the tip of my nose (I couldn’t get a clearer picture of it), which I believe my derm also seemed to think was a fibrous papule, and she had also used electrocautery on it once before. As with the other one, it’s been there a long time and hasn’t changed at all. Does this one look like a fibrous papule to you as well? Thank you again for your expertise and kindness!!
