Question: My wife has a lower internal burning sensation on her lower right leg between her knee and her lower shin. She has no cuts on her leg. She has Shogrin's syndrome, she has Hashimoto's, and a right hip replacement about a year and a half ago which was very successful. What could cause this symptom?

Brief Answer:
About burning sensation:

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for asking!
I can understand your concern regarding to your wife's health.
If the burning sensation is within a few days and there is no lesion in the skin, it may be the first phase of herpes zoster virus ( even though rarely it is seen in this region).
If the burning sensation persists from some days and there are lesions in the skin, it would be of help if you would attach a picture.
Will be a pleasure to help you further.
Best wishes,
Dr.Mirjeta
