Brief Answer:
It is not normal, please consult your gynecologist immediately.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Welcome to Ask A Doctor service.

I have gone through your question and understand your concern.

Following delivery, there will be some amount of bleeding in the initial days, after about 5 to 10 days, it will turn into just red tinged watery discharge which is called lochia and this will persist for about 20 days, not more than that.

If the bleeding is still continuing, it means some part of the placenta may be left behind or there is some infection in the uterus.

You need to consult the doctor who conducted the delivery immediately and get an ultrasound scanning done.

And pelvic examination also needs to be done to find the exact cause.

I hope this answers your query, feel free to write back if you have any doubts.

Wishing your wife a speedy recovery.

Best regards
