My Son Bumped Into His Mother While Running And Hit
Question: My son bumped into his mother while running and hit her nose. The impact has a little heavy and she instantly got a swollen nose but no bleeding. It seemed that the nose was cracked and the swelling went away in a day. We visited a doctor and did an XRAY and could see a fracture the doctor said a hairline fracture and gave medicine to bring down the swelling to see if there is misalignment. We did a follow-up visit today and the doctor says to continue this medicine and if there is no misalignment and recovery it will self-heal.
We want a second opinion on how big the problem is and if it self-heals. Do we need to have some medicine for healing as the medicine is given for swelling to come down?
Does it need any plasters and surgery and will the current injury worsens?

It seems like a hair line fracture of nasal bone.
In that case,if there is no misalignment and swelling has started reducing,then you don't need any surgery,or dressing .Check if there is no bleeding or nasal blockage.
Continue the medication prescribed by the doctor.
(Tablet Hifenac -SP is an analgesic and anti-inflammatory -it reduces pain, swelling and inflammation.
Tablet Unipan-D,is an antacid-By taking Hifenac-SP, sometimes there is acidity,this tablet helps in acidity).
Take care not to touch the nose ,and also take care while sleeping.
Generally it will start healing in 3days and completely healed by 3 weeks.
No surgery/bandage is required.
