Brief Answer:
Hi,

Detailed Answer:
First of all, hygiene of the local body area is essential to prevent recurrence of boils.
For treatment, warm water compresses, should be done at least 2-3 times a day. This will make it easy for the discharge to be eliminated from the boil & prevent its recurrence by keeping the discharging tract patent.
Most of the times, you may not need any antibiotic etc. once the discharge is completely evacuated. However, sometimes we may need an antibiotic for complete eradication of the infection under guidance of your doctor. In addition, you may need OTC analgesic for relief of pain & swelling etc.
Still, if the problem is not solved, or the symptoms of pain & swelling increase or appearance of fever is there, you should see your doctor for it, as you may need a surgical drainage etc. for resolution of the problem.
Stop use of razor for cleaning of hair at least for a week or so after the drainage & healing is complete.
Thanks
