Question: My mom was carrying my 6 month old baby and she tripped. My mom fell and hit her knee on the ground and my baby hit the couch. My baby was facing my mom and we think my moms nose may have hit my baby but we don't know where. We checked my baby's eyes and arms and legs and everything. Is my baby going to be ok?

Brief Answer:
Don't worry, watch for some abnormal symptoms

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Thanks for asking on this platform

I have gone through the query and do understand your concern.
I won't get overly worried if there are no signs of external injury, baby is moving all limbs well, active, playful and taking feeds normally.
Most of the time in case of blunt injury you will find signs of external injury immediately. The only thing which one should keep in mind, if there is any inadvertent internal injury to brain or other vital organs.
I request you to watch for abnormal symptoms like poor feeding, excessive crying, abnormal movement of body, vomiting, abdominal fullness, tenderness in chest or abdomen. Usually symptoms appear within 6-10 hours.
You need not to worry at all, if everything goes fine. In case you notice any abnormal symptoms please visit your nearest emergency room.

I hope this helps.
Wishing for your baby's good.
Thanks and regards

Thank you so much for getting back to me.
I just want to explain what happened in more detail and see if you have the same answer for me to not worry and just keep an eye on my baby.
My mom tripped over my 5 year old and fell into the couch while holding my 6 month old. The baby was facing my mom so it would have been her back that hit the cushions but my mom pressed her body against the baby. After the accident the baby cried for maybe 1 to 2 minutes then calmed down. About 15 minutes after the accident the baby fell asleep for about 30 minutes. She took 2 bottles before bed and slept all night. After the accident and her little nap the baby was fussy on and off but did smile and make little noises.
