My Left Testicle Is A Bit Smaller And I Think

default
Posted on Fri, 7 Aug 2020
Question: My left testicle is a bit smaller and I think it has a varicocele. There is also something on the bottom of it that hurts to pinch, it almost feels like a little thin sac thats not super smooth but its squishy and hurts to squeeze. My right testicle does not have this same shape to this size. The left side also has veins that are very wormy like. Do testicular cancer bumps hurt to squeeze? It definitely does not feel good(when squeezed) and its on the very bottom of the testicle. It is just weird that the right side does not have it.

Brief Answer:
does not sound cancer bump, Doppler Ultrasound recommended.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to Ask A Doctor services.
I have read your query and here is my advise.

* Minor size variation among both testes is quite physiologic. However,
feeling of wormy vessels at the upper part of testicle may be varicocele.

* The cancer bumps are very hard, almost stony and does not provoke such
wormy feeling, so that issue is out of question.

* However, an Ultrasonography with Doppler will depict in details about
- size of both testicles
- blood supply
- abnormal lump involving testis or outside of testis such as malignancy
or others
- abnormal dilatation of blood vessels as that of Pampiniform plexus which
is typical of Varicocele
- benign , cystic lesions such as Epididymal cyst or else

* It is best recommended to discuss the need of a Doppler Ultrasound with
your primary care physician during your next scheduled visit to clear all
the dilemma.

Wish you best health.
Do feel free to discuss further.

Take care.
Regards.
