Brief Answer:
Please provide the details

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Thanks for asking on this platform

I have gone through the query and do understand your concern.
Fever of 5 days with such high CRP indicates some bacterial infection or underlying inflammation.
I would like to know the details of investigations and also the symptoms(like cough, loose motion, rashes etc). Please let me know about the trend of fever whether it is improving, getting worsened or same as before.
Thorough investigations should be done like ESR, procalcitonin, blood culture, typhoid test, urine test).
Antibiotics may need to be upgraded or may be injectable antibiotics may be needed based on investigation, repeat CRP and general condition of the child.

Waiting for your response.
Please let me know if you have any more doubts.
Regards

Brief Answer:
Wait for culture report, continue same antibiotic

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Thanks for follow up

I have seen the reports and apart from CRP all are normal. ESR is also not very high.
As symptoms are not very significant and child is otherwise active, I would like to wait for the culture report. Based on culture report we can decide the further treatment like if any change in antibiotic is needed or not.
If culture report comes inconclusive (quite common due to prior use of antibiotic, sampling error or other technical issues) ; its better to monitor for the symptoms and to repeat the CRP after 72 hours. If condition gets worsened or CRP increases rapidly antibiotic would need to be upgraded, otherwise the sane treatment will suffice.

I hope this helps.
Wishing for good health of your child
Thanks and Regards
