Question: My husband is 64 in excellent health just had a huge blood panel that came back excellent. Slender. He is in prison and due home in April. Has had excellent preventitive care there. He had an episode yesterday that happened once before on 7/7/19. MID SENTENCE HE can't find a word or really put a sentence together. No dizziness, weakness, tingling or any srroke symptoms, knows where he is, just can't talk and feels confused. Says it is hard to talk. Lasts about 2-3 minutes. At about 5 minutes he speaks slowly and haltingly. At 10 minutes almost normal speechp. Back to normal at 30-60 minutes. During the 30-60 minutes posr episode he is able to think clearly, do math problems, etc. Just speech not right. Not on any meds except 200 mg ibuprofin daily and he did take Nasocort yesterday before this happened.

Brief Answer:
It could be a TIA.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for the query.
The symptoms are consistent with transient aphasia.
The possible causes for his conditions will be something called transient ischemic attack ( TIA) where the blood supply to the brain is interrupted for a short time. Certain types of migraine can also cause similar symptoms.
Consult a neurologist and get evaluated, An MRI brain is required for further assessment.
Wishing all the best
