My Daughter Has These Results DHEA-S 966 And Dehydroepiandroste 1406.
Question: My daughter has these results DHEA-S 966 and Dehydroepiandroste 1406. Her ALT was 102 and AST was 52. They also did a CT scan of her pelvis, and an MRI of her adrenal glands, but they found nothing. Just wondering what other test we need to do. She was diagnosed with a fatty liver.

To judge about the pathology that causes high Dheas levels a whole clinical picture and other tests such as testosterone, cortisol, Acth, prolactin, and TSH are needed.
Anyway, from the information you gave (adrenal.tumors excluded), Late onset of congenital adrenal hyperplasia should be excluded. It is a genetic disease manifested with high levels of DHEAs and symptoms of androgen excess caused by a lack of an enzyme (21 hydroxylase).
To confirm it's diagnosis a synacten stimulation test is needed.
Your physician will inform you if it is needed after having into consideration the all above-mentioned parameters.
