This local treatment can be used for 1-2 weeks and can be combined with clotrimazole ovules 200 mg intravaginally, once a day for 3 days.

Another possible treatment is with oral Fluconazole 150mg single dose (prescription is needed for this). In some more severe cases, the treatment may be taken for three days (one tablet a day for three days)
