My nephew aged 9 yrs had undergone Pyeloplasty at the age of 2 yrs, he has no complaints since then. However recently we did his USG and it showed Rt kidney hydronephrosis. So we did his DTPA renal scan which also shows the same findings but our Doctor says nothing worry. Kindly suggest

Brief Answer:
Nothing to be worried about .

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

Based on the facts and report of DTPA scan of your 9 years old nephew that you have posted I would say that Mild hydronephrosis that is reported on Right side is due to residual effect of congenital PUJ obstruction however fictionally the Right Kidney is as good as Left one .

The marginal difference in function in kidneys and GFR is expected and accepted and not to be worried for .

Hope I have answered your query ,please feel free to ask if you have more questions,I shall be happy to help you
Thanks and Regards.
