Question: Metropolol increased from 50 to 75 mg. BP yesterday was 137/84 this morning 140/90 146/89 145/84. When willadditional med take affect?

Regarding your yesterday's and morning BP values, I would explain that they are mildly elevated.

You may discuss with your prescribing doctor to further increase Metoprolol daily dose to 100 mg (in case no bradycardia is present).

If BP values persist on these values even 24 to 48 hours after the above dose elevation, then adding another anti-hypertensive medication would be required.
