Long Story Short, I’ve Completely. Deteriorated The Past Year. Went

Question: Long story short, I’ve completely. deteriorated the past year. Went from 125lbs to 98 in 8 months.
I am exhausted. I do not have an eating disorder (though malabsorption has been mentioned) and I started somehow either losing blood or my body isn’t making it. I’ve had 13 transfusions this year & just spent 17 days in the hospital. They cannot
find a source Of bleeding. My HCT in admission was 5.8.

I have 3 drs and I am in their care so I’m not trying to diagnose myself on the ‘net . Just wondering what anyone else thinks. If I were your patient, would anything in these labs stick out to you that warranted further investigation?

By the way, my B-12 levels worry me because I hasn’t eaten for 5 days when they were drawn because I was NPO and I had nothing in my Fluids aside from potassium.
I do not take B supplements and everything I’ve read On it it is not good. Thanks for any input.
Asterisks by the abnormal values. Thanks

Brief Answer:

Bone marrow test

Detailed Answer:

Hi

I have gone through your blood report

You are having high vitamin B12 with low haemoglobin

Usually excess vitamin B12 is removed in the urine.

Conditions that can increase B12 level include liver disease such as cirrhosis or hepatitis or myeloproliferative disorders like polycythemia vera and chronic myelogenous leukemia

Your lipase is also high for which CT scan abdomen recommended.

I would advise you to do a bone marrow tests

Bone marrow biopsy and bone marrow aspiration are used to collect bone marrow samples for laboratory testing. These tests involve collecting bone marrow from your hipbone.

Tests to look for the XXXXXXX chromosome.

Specialized tests, such as fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) analysis and the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test, analyze blood or bone marrow samples for the presence of the XXXXXXX chromosome or the BCR-ABL gene diagnostic for CML
