Brief Answer:
Pinched nerve.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to "Ask a Doctor " service.

I have read your query and here is my advice.

That area is supplied by upper cervical nerves.

In cases of cervical spine degerative disease ( spondylosis ) with subsequent nerve irritation symptoms like yours may be present.

The condition seems not serious, so, simple measures such as warm procedures on your neck, simple painkillers such as ibuprofen, physical therapy, may be necessary to improve the symptoms.

An evaluation by your Doctor and X-rays of your cervical spine also are necessary to understand correctly your condition.

Hope you found the answer helpful.

Let me know if I can assist you further.
