Brief Answer:
Probably changes caused by unstable blood pressure.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to "Ask a Doctor " service.

I have read your query and the MRI report.

These findings are mostly found in people suffering from high ( or unstable ) blood pressure, and are known as small arteries disease.

Usually there is no relationship with dementias, only in some cases when these lesions are significant and widespread, there may be concomitant vascular dementia.

Correct control of blood pressure is necessary to stop the progression.

Discuss with your Neurologist for these issues.

Hope you found the answer helpful.

Diabetes also contributes to artery disease.

Detailed Answer:
Welcome back.

Besides unstable blood pressure, diabetes, especially after long time, causes small arteries disease, so, the MRI findings are justified by blood pressure and diabetes.

Discuss with your Neurologist for these issues.

Hope I helped you.

Regards.
