Question: I've recently had pain on one side=-right- of my face, it started just under my eye, like my eyeglasses were hitting a nerve. it has continued down to around my eye and under my jaw. it comes and goes, sometimes it get worse when I'm wearing my glasses.'went to dentist who x-rayed found no problem with my teeth or gums on that side of my face. and suggests I see ENT doctor. I'm 80 years old' concerned since I'm scheduled for spinal fusion surgery in 3 weeks with limitd time before surgery. What is your suggestion if type of doctor do I need to see for this? Any suggestions of what this may be

I think you may need to see an ENT doctor.
I think this pain may be related to sinusitis, inflammation of the sinuses. I want to know some more details about it if your nose is blocked or if you have difficulty in breathing. Do you have nasal secretions or even fever.
Possibly antihistamines such benadryl or citerizine can help in this case. Also antibiotics may be needed.


I think you can resolve it in three weeks in order to get be before surgery.
