I've Had A Large-ish Mole (size Of An M&m) Between

Question: I've had a large-ish mole (size of an m&m) between my shoulder blades for years. A couple hours ago I absently itched there, felt that the texture was oddly rough and scabby, and instinctively just scratched it off. When I checked, the whole mole was gone, leaving behind a raw red, slightly bleeding surface. I get the sense this isn't normal, and I think I'll see a dermatologist just to be sure. However, right now I'm in South Korea. I will return to the US for Christmas. Is it fine to wait until I'm in the US? Or should I try to find a dermatologist in Korea that, though surely well qualified, I will not be able to meet without translation? Basically, is this urgent? Or not a problem at all?
