Question: I've been having this on and off pain in my chest that's very localized to the sternum and can hurt when pressed. No other syptoms. I have bad health anxiety and have had a full heart workup last year that showed everything is fine, so I'm sure it's not my heart. I have started going to the chiropractor due to ribs popping out of place. Coule this be related?

Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Welcome to Ask a Doctor service!

I understand your concern and would agree with you on the fact that this pain doesn't seem to be related to the heart.

As the pain is triggered by the pressure on the chest, this is suggestive of a musculoskeletal pain ( probably local inflammation or chostochondritis).

For this reason, I would recommend performing a chest X ray study, inflammation tests ( complete blood count, PCR, ESR) and checking vitamin D plasma levels.

In the meantime, I would recommend using local warm packs and taking ibuprofen or acetaminophen for the pain.

Hope you will find this information helpful!
