I've Been Having Abdominal Discomfort For The Past Few Weeks.

Question: I've been having abdominal discomfort for the past few weeks.
I went to the bathroom one day and saw some redness in my stool. I went to see my surgeon shortly after and a ct scan was performed. It came back all clear. An occult blood test was also done and came back negative. I went to the bathroom tonight and again, some red spots in the stool.
Any ideas what could be happening?

Brief Answer:
Haemorrhoids are possible

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, welcome to Ask a doctor service.
I read your query and here is my advice.

I think you could better have visited a gastroenterologist and done a fybroscopy this is more accurate.
Anyway since scan is negative and also an occult blood negative I think the red blood in stools that you had may come from haemorrhoids.
Possibly the discomfort may come from constipation and straining in toilet may cause bleeding.
You may need to visit a surgeon or better a proclologyst to examine you.
You need not to be constipated and avoid straining in toilet.

Hope I have answered the question.
