Brief Answer:
Examination of the eyes is normal- there is nothing to worry

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for asking at HealthcareMagic.

I read your question thoroughly and had a careful look at the picture attached.

I understand that changes in the eye pigmentation (the colors of the layers covering the eye) can be a real cause of concern and understand in your case why you bring it up.

On the other hand, by examining the picture you sent, the color of the layers that cover the eye (conjunctiva and sclera) seems to be within normal limits and there is no extra pigmentation or abnormal findings. Sometimes the color of the eye layers has a normal slight yellow pigmentation in most people and this is considered normal variations and nothing to worry.

Generally, pigmentation of the eye might be associated with skin pigmentation (yellowing) and the urine might get dark in color as the pigment that gives the color to the eye layers gives a color to the skin and also some of it is brought out with urine. In this picture, as much, as can be seen, i do not see any yellowing of the skin.

I would recommend you to relax and not worry. Your eyes look normal and there is no pigmentation that is worrisome.

I hope this is helpful and answers your question but please let me know if any more clarifications are needed relating to this.

Kind Regards,

Antoneta Zotaj, MD
