Is Voluntary Contraction Of Bulbospongeous Muscle Possible?
Question: madam...in females .... Is it possible to flex or contract bulbospongiosus muscle ...voluntarily... When ever we want to contract.... And is it possible to to stop penetration of penis in to vagina by flexing or contracting bulbospongiosus muscle in females

Sir ... Whether BC Muscle directly closes the vagina ... Or it will assist in narrowing the vagina by conpressing the vestibular bulb of clitoris When female is aroused .... Due to the engrossing vestibular bulb .... But in some sites it was mentined that .... It is impossible to flex the ...BC muscle selectively .... ... And one more thing is ... Flexing and contracting the muscle is one and the same or they are different ... And some more texts ... It is mentioned BC muscle as involunary muscle... Which works of reflexs ... If we can able contract BC muscle ... How the contraction will be achived .. Like by ... Sqeezing anal spincthure voluntarily?

I am sorry for delayed response due to some unavodable work. You are right that bulbospongiosus muscle compresses the vestibular bulb and constricts the vaginal opening.
Flexion or contraction is the same for bulbospongiosus muscles. Actually this muscle is supplied by deep branch of perineal nerve which supplies other pelvic floor muscles also. So when woman tries to contract bulbospongiosus muscle there is contraction of man other pelvic floor muscles.But yes of course it is voluntary contraction. What you read is probably vaginismus. In which involuntary contraction of pelvic floor muscles including bulbospongiosus which can constrict vaginal opening. This involuntary contraction can be due to reflex against some physical or psychological stimuli.
Yes it contracts like we squeeze anal sphincter.
