Is Triple Negative Breast Cancer Aggressive?

default
Posted on Thu, 23 Feb 2017
Question: Hi,
at 32 years of age I was diagnosed invasive ductal carcinoma grade 3. No lymph involvement removed at 4cm KPI 99%. The original biopsy stated positive for prost and estrog hormone, however when it was sent to histopathology after surgery it came back triple negative. I have just past 1 year since diagnoses. I have recently been told that the true reading needs to be taken from original biopsy due to the tumor when removed being placed in solution and different things before being dissected and this may contaminate the results (this came from a pathology worker) Is this able to occur and if so do I need to go back to the doctor and be asking this question??
