Is There Interaction Between Clarithromycin 500 Mg And Sulfacetamide Sodium Ophthalmic Solution 10%?

Question: is there interaction with Clarithromycin 500MG (for sinus infection) and Sulfacetamide Sodium Ophthalmic Solution UPS 10% (pink eye)? I just started taking Clarithromycin this morning for bad excessive coughs due to postnasal drip (after having excess runny nose of green mucus for 4 weeks), my nose is also stuffy and I have sinus congestion. Yesterday I blow my nose, and felt mucous/goo came out of the corner of my left eye, and now it is red/pink--hence I want to take the Sulfacatemide drop i had on-hand with Clarithromycin in hope it will combat the infection. I will be taking Clarithromycin for another 9 days. If it is okay for me to take the Sulfacetamide drop with the Clarithromycin, how many drops should I take each time and for how many times a day and for how many days?

OR will just by taking the Clarithromycin 500MG alone will help cure the pink eye also (so I don't need to take the antibiotic eye drop)?

Brief Answer:
Clarithromycin and saline drops

Detailed Answer:
Hi there,
Thanks for using HCM.
You continue taking clarithromycin for your cough/nasal stuffiness and sinus issue.
The pink eye and goo in the eyes is due to nasal stuffiness. Instill saline drops in to the nostrils and that will clear the nose and prevent the eye goo from accumulating in the eyes. Use gauze wet with saline to wipe the goo from the eyes.

There is no serious interaction between oral clarithromycin and Sulfacetamide eye drops.
But you do not need the eye drops.
Just clarithromycin and saline drops are enough.

I hope that answers your query.
Let me know if you have any more questions.
