Brief Answer:
Recovery possibility is very low

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for asking.
I am Dr. Prakash HM and I will be answering your query.

Sorry to know about patients present condition.

Based on your query, my opinion is as follows:

1. Possibility of recovering from coma is poor. Old age, ventilation, and stroke along with 2 attacks, signify a very low possibility.
2. Even if he recovers, which is a very low possibility due to brain injury secondary to stroke, his overall self management (walk, clothe, feed, etc) could be poor.

Hope it helps.

Brief Answer:
Severe injury present indicating poor recovery possibility.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for sending the MRI report.

After going through the report, the global hypoxic ischemic injury, which indicates severe injury and now that it has been present and there is not recovery signifies poor prognosis.
This is the second stroke, previous stroke at thalamus is also seen.

I cannot add anything much, after going through MRI report. Prognosis still remains very poor.

Hope it helps.
