I am so sorry to hear about this deficiency that you have. There is no home remedy for this deficiency. What form do you have because is this is only evident at this age and you do not need infusion of the enzyme, it might be the mild form.

In all, no home remedy but not sure if you had the severe form, it would have been discovered a long time before. Keep away from smoking and excess alcohol consumption as this can worsen disease state and progression.

I was diagnosed in 2009. I have the SZ genotype which is less severe than the ZZ genotype. I stopped smoking in 1988. My doctor doesn't think I will get emphysema.
