Is There A Blood Test To Diagnose Mononucleosis?

default
Posted on Thu, 2 Mar 2017
Question: Why would a clinic call and tell me I have Mono then I go to the Dr. Cause I'm getting worse. Dr. Says you don't have Mono as if I was stupid. No one called to say I didn't have Mono. I had all the symptoms of it. How could that happen?

Brief Answer:
Did you do a blood test?

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

The ultimate diagnosis of Mono is done via a blood test. Symptoms alone are never specific and as such we cannot rely on symptoms alone. If this test was don, kindly share the results with me for an independent review and a second opinion. If this was not done, I suggest you get it done so that the right and exact answer to this can be obtained.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. I look forward getting more clarifications and probably the results from you when available or if already available for interpretation.

Yes a blood test was done. That's why the family practitioner waited for the results and called me at home later that day. I had her on speaker phone and my husband heard her say I had Mono. I did have and still have symptoms. She said it would take a while to get over. When I went back in a few days later the Dr. On call said I didn't have Mono but I needed I'V fluids. So yes the blood test came out positive.

I obviously have been very sick. I have dry coughed and thrown up so hard. No my whole left side is a huge solid purple. It goes around to my back, is going down my leg and then my naval is turning purple. Is it broken blood vessels from the strain? Left side hurts to cough.

Brief Answer:
Can we lay hands on these results?

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Mono is a rising disease and occurs when persons have new kissing partner who harbors this disease. Am not sure this applies to you and your symptoms seem a bit not typical. I will like to take a look at the output of this blood test to provide an independent review as am unable to tell who to believe and who not to.

I wish you well.
