Is The Ventricular Septal Defect Hereditary??

Question: im pregnant and the father has VSD. is this hereditary?? will my baby have this or be a high risk pregnancy?

also, my mother in law got a call from the doctor that she works for saying that she was exposed to neisseria meningitidis. i was around her 3 days since the exposure and my fiancee even ate after her. The patient that she worked on was a 1 yr old. is my baby in danger since i was around her before she knew she was exposed? do i need to get on antibiotics or be treated??

No dear, there is not much to worry as yet.
Neisseria has a short incubation period and thus shows its effect very early so in case she had any infection it would have been apparent by now.
But still ask her to wear a face mask easily available in market till a week and try to avoid contact with her.
