Brief Answer:
May not be required

Detailed Answer:
Hi friend
Welcome to Health Care Magic

Surgery may not be required most likely
Yet the defect may need closure – Interventional cardiologists can do it with an occlusive device (through catheter)
The treating doctor alone could conclude better, based on the total clinical picture

Good luck
God bless you

How much will it cost if I am going for a catheter Closure method?
What are the after effects and how much time will it take to recover?

Brief Answer:
about a week / and a lakh or more

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Usually, a day or two day in the hospital / and a week’s rest at home
Antibiotic during the procedure; and later on at times, as prophylaxis to prevent infection in certain circumstances… / blood thinners to prevent clotting for a few months to an year / a few follow up visits and investigations for check-up /

Exact location- like distance from the valves or veins, edge and so on decide the feasibility and side effects. Problems are few and infrequent – include dislodgement, perforation, erosion, rhythm disorders, allergy etc.

The cost is variable and depends on several factors / approximately 1 to 2 lakhs / and is almost the same or a little less than surgical procedure…

The TREATING DOCTOR ALONE COULD CONCLUDE better, based on the total clinical picture

Regards
