Question: Update to the last question...My doctor referred me to a cardiologist, did an EKG and prescribed Sotalol 160MG tablet and stopped my Bystolic. Aftter another EKG 3 days later the heart beat was normal. He also recomended a Cardioversion but I decided to get another cardiologist. The side effects of the Sotalol is killing me. He said that if I did not get the Cardioversion, I can resume the Bystolic...too pushy.

Brief Answer: Suggest following treatment scheme... Detailed Answer: Hi, Thank you for following up. At this point, I'd suggest to continue taking Sotalol and to add dronedarone or amiodarone to convert into sinusal rhythm. If this treatment won't have effect, then, should change to Bystolic and add Warfarin (as anticoagulant). The main goal is to keep INR within 2-3 level range. Can discuss this treatment scheme with your cardiologist! Dr.Benard

Brief Answer: Please provide additional data of yours... Detailed Answer: Hi back, Thank you for following up. I am honored to guide you through the process in order to find out the right problem and related solution. With regards to taking Xarelto, it is a very good alternative than Warfarin (as mentioned earlier) as you do not need to monitor INR. In fact, I have gone through your past medical history and just now noticed you are taking Xarelto since one month. I have also noticed that you used to take 200 CYP shots every 2 weeks. Are you still continuing this treatment at the moment? Losing sex desire is often associated with the use of anti-arrhythmic drugs, including Sotalol. If such side effects are unbearable to you, can shift to flecainide, which has less of these side effects. Thank you! Dr.Benard

Brief Answer: Continue taking the shots&Azor... Detailed Answer: Hi, You can continue taking the shots as scheduled on April, 11. If your symptoms will be improved, then, what you are experiencing is related to hormonal dis-balance. Your libido will be improved too. With regards to Azor, I advise to continue taking it as it will improve your blood pressure. Hope it answered your queries! Dr.Benard
