Question: I was sitting outside on my front steps with my 8 month old 17 pound sheltie dog and i had the leash loosely around my left wrist and suddenly he pulled hard. I can bend my wrist up and down and side to side, Could I have hurt my wrist? My wrist is a little sore.

There seems to be no big issue

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for writing.

I am Dr.Muhammad Ahmad. I have read your question completely, i understand your concern and will try to help you in best way possible.

The way everything happened and as you told me you can make movements on you wrist it just tells me that there is no problem evidently with your wrist as such.

If there is severe pain..swelling... restriction in movements or a bruise then you better get this thing checked up by your doctor.

Now there are a few things which will help.

1) Give your wrist good rest.
2) Warm sponging.
3) wear wrist support.
4) Protect it from XXXXXXX further trauma.
5) Rub brufen or diclofenac gel over it.

Things will be fine in 4..5 days.

I hope this answered your question, a
if you have more please feel free to ask.

Regrads.
