Is Sexual Intercourse Advisable After Taking HCG 5000 Shot?

Question: Hi.. I had HCG 5000 injection on 14/05 and regular follicular sonography shows follicles ranging from 19-37mm and ET 10mm now, the follicles are not getting ruptured, there is slight pain also, Dr has mentioned to not try getting pregnant now and let the periods happen to avoid problems, please suggest

Hi,

I understand your concerns.

Your doctor might have anticipated OHSS (ovarian Hyperstimulation Syndrome) where in multiple follicles can complicate the pregnancy.

If number of follicles with measuring more than 18 mm are 3 or less you can try for pregnancy. If there are more than 3 don't try for pregnancy as you might develop OHSS.

Sonography shows multiple follicles ranging from 19-37mm,
Will these multiple follicles clear with my next menstrual cycle or will it cause any problems in trying to get pregnant after next cycle, will they become cyst which will require surgery (In March My Dr suggested and I got laproscopy done to remove a cyst which was causing to not produce eggs)
