Is One Of The Symptoms Of Retrocecal Appendicitis Be Recurring Abscess?
Question: What are the symptoms of a retrocele appendicitis, could one be that of a recurring back abscess growing cultured Proteus species twice in the past 6 years.

The retrocekal appendicitis is happen when apendix is located not in his normal place.
If the appendix is located retrocecally, it may give rise to an abscess in the pararenal space and spread to bare area of the liver or it may spread along the right paracolic gutter, and extend to the right posterior subhepatic and right subphrenic spaces.
Of course the risk of reocurence exist and the surgeon should drain it and clean the abcess carefully.
Also an antibiograme of pus should be performed and you will be treated with the antibiotics that come out of it.
