Question: Hi, how accurate is the Hepatitis HBV & HCV PCR RNA (DNA) test 12 days after exposure? Thank you.

Viral PCR testing is highly sensitive test to detect presence of the virus in the body.
We even use the test in very early phase too with true results.

In your case it has been 11 days post exposure, so the results would be considered accurate.

Just to share with you, HCV RNA is performed for Hepatitis C and HBV DNA is performed for Hepatitis B.
