Brief Answer:
Yes of course ma'am, speak to any IVF specialist of your choice :)

Detailed Answer:
Hello ma'am and welcome.

Thank you for writing to us.

I have gone through your query with diligence and would like you to know that I am here to help. Yes of course, any IVF doctor would be willing to do this, but please also understand that they will want to examine the semen sample and go about a highly scrutinised selection process to ensure the best sperm are selected for the IVF procedure.

You can visit any IVF centre you trust in your region and request them to do the same. They will just ask you to take the frozen sperm to them and will then contact you in a few days time to fix the procedure. This request is quite common, believe it or not.

I hope you find my response helpful. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications, I would be more than happy to help.

Best wishes.

Thank you, Dr XXXXXXX I went through 6 IVF treatments with ICSI in attempts/trying to get pregnant for a second child and I lost 6 embryos and I started at 37-38 years and now I am 44 .my husband sperm retrieved MESA and frozen. it is all in the USA. Our son born IVF ICSI from same vial frozen sperm and my own egg at my age of 34. Since I have little time left or no time to get pregnant I am seeking for a kind Doctor with has a good lab and good embryologist who can put heart into to help me. I ask doctors in USA about natural cycle but no one yet willing to help.

Brief Answer:
Disheartens me to see what you are going through

Detailed Answer:
Hello once again ma'am.

I completely understand your situation, and most doctors nowadays are more concerned about the outcome, than with helping a patient do what he/she wishes to. Let me elaborate on this:

+A sperm sample pre-selected, donated by an individual of your choice and not theirs (they choose only the most healthy, young, and highly fertile male donors), in itself is something they do not like

+Success rate given your age is obviously lower than what is usually expected. And given the fact that you have chosen the sperm which was donated years ago makes them even more skeptical about the results

I am sorry to hear about them being the way they are, which does dishearten me. But may be if you approached one yourself and also explained to them that you are aware of the complications and the low success rate of the whole thing, and are still willing to go ahead with the whole thing, may be you might just succeed in convincing one.

In all honesty ma'am, from the short time I was in the US of A, almost all IVF specialist are very well equipped as it is a booming field, and so the funding does not come with any hiccups, so selecting a doctor is completely up to you.

Worst case scenario, are you not ready to accept another donor? If you can consider this option, then bring it up in the end with the specialist you are trying to convince, so that at least something is left up to them and hopefully they agree.

I am really sorry to suggest that, but I only have your best interest at heart. Please do not hesitate to write to me for anything, I am always here to help ma'am.

Best wishes.

Thank You, Dr but may be misunderstanding. My husband sperm was frozen and it is my husband frozen sperm and my own egg. Doctors told me about egg donor. But I do not wish any egg or sperm donors. Just like our son our own DNA my husband and my DNA.

I wish to have second child from my egg and my husband sperm only.

Brief Answer:
I understand ma'am, it was a suggestion, difficult situation :(

Detailed Answer:
Hi ma'am.

I completely understand.

Can you not contact the same doctor who performed your first IVF, when you conceived your son? Or have you been trying with the same doctor and have failed 6 times now?

I understand you wish to use only your egg and your husbands sperm. And although the chances are low as I stated elaborately in my previous reply, it should be possible to conduct the procedure in the USA, but it would be best if you go and speak to a the doctors there personally.

As for the suggestion I gave to try with another donor, it was only to try and keep it as a last option, to see if a doctor in the USA would be ready for performing that, in case they are not ready to perform the IVF with your egg and your husbands frozen sperm; but as you are not ready, we can rule this out.

The procedure is indeed possible ma'am, and you should visit doctors there and discuss it with them, but unfortunately the chances can be really low for a success rate due to your age and the other given details, which is why most doctors are not agreeing. :(

Best wishes.
