Brief Answer:
kidney infection is one type of urinary tract infection

Detailed Answer:
Hi, thanks for using healthcare magic

The urinary tract consists of the kidneys, ureter (tube leading from the kidneys), bladder, urethra, prostate.

Urinary tract infection refers to infection of one or more of these areas.

Infection of the kidney is one type of urinary tract infection. If an infection is present, it should be detected by urine culture unless you were using antibiotics that suppressed the bacteria.

It is possible that the WBC was high if the sample was somehow contaminated.

I hope this helps , feel free to ask any other questions
