Is It Safe To Take Azithromycin And Nitrofurantoin At The Same Time?
Question: My wife is on azithromycin (she takes the last one tomorrow). Tonight she is coming down with a bladder infection. She has some nitrofurantoin bid which she usually takes. Is it ok to take both?

Tomorrow my wife will take the last pill of Azithromycin ("Z pack) which the doctor prescribed for her sinus infection last Wednesday. But tonight she is developing a bladder infection too. She has some Nitrofurantion which she took the last time she had a bladder infection. Her question is: She took the Azithromycin this morning, can she take the Nitrofurantoin tonight. Can these 2 antibiotics be taken the same day?
