Brief Answer:
I do not recommend use of Liv 52

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for posting on HealthCareMagic. It is a common problem with feeding children that many parents face. A few suggestions could be:
1. Eat together and avoid distractions like television.
2. Take him along when you go to fetch grocery. Let him choose fruits and vegetables and let him prepare fruit salad and stuff like that.
3. Give him more vegetables and fruits.
4. Use less sugar, use fruits for topping cereals.
5. Iron and multivitamin supplements will help improve appetite
6. Deworm the child every year with albendazole one dose 200 mg at night and repeat dose after a fortnight.

I would not recommend using any medicines in order to increase appetite or to benefit the liver. Liv 52 like any other medicine will have to be metabolised by liver thus adding to the burden and not relieving it. Moreover, there is no actually proven benefit that Liv 52 provides. Although the manufacturing company claims that it is 100% safe and does not have any side effects, let me mention that side effects are any effect other than the intended ones that the medicine has. It cannot be that the nature has made the ingredients exactly keeping only the human intentions in mind. Since I do not recommend it, I am not commenting on questions like how long should you continue it.
