Brief Answer:
You may give the prescribed dose, observe for side effects

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

As baby is small the dose should be appropriate.
Ambrolite s contains ambroxol a mucolytic(sputum thinning agent)and terbutaline a bronchodilator (prevents airways spasm).
The dose prescribed by the pediatrician is appropriate for 4-6 kg baby. The side effect can be fast heart beat, sweating, irritability etc.
If you notice any side effect, any breathing difficulty, poor feeding or fever please consult your pediatrician immediately.

I hope this helps. please let me know if you have any more doubts.
Regards
