Question: My doc has told me to stop taking bendroflumethazine 2.5mg and go back in two weeks. I've been on them for 15 years. Is it really safe just to stop? Have checked with a pharmacist and she had said it's safe. What would your advice be?

Brief Answer:
It can be stopped

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

Yes, this is medication which can be stopped suddenly and there are no problem with it. This is thiazide diuretic and it doesn't cause permanent changes in body physiology. You may just experience less urine volume and blood pressure may fluctuate.

Wish you good health. Regards
