Brief Answer:
I would suggest a swab test/ NAAT test for chlamydia

Detailed Answer:
Hello. Thank you for writing to us at healthcaremagic

I have gone through your query and I will try to help you with your concern.

I would like to clarify from you..

-Do you have any other sexual partners apart from your husband?

Blood test for genital chlamydia may cross react (due to cross reacting antibodies) with other chlamydial infections like Chlamydia pnemoniae and therefore blood is not a reliable test sample to confirm genital infection caused by chlamydia trachomatis.

On the other hand, Swab test (Nucleic Acid Amplification Test) is very accurate and test for evidence of infection from the local area of infection i.e genitalia rather than blood.

Therefore you may take a swab test for genital chlamydia.

Brief Answer:
You have tested negative for chlamydia!!

Detailed Answer:
Hi.

According to this test you are NEGATIVE. Your levels are within normal range.

Kindly read the INTERPRETATION: Antibodies not detected.

Why did you think that you are Positive?? You don't have detectable antibodies according to this test..

Brief Answer:
SWAB TEST is more accurate

Detailed Answer:
Hi.

Ok. Thank you for clarifying.

Kindly go for a swab test. Blood test is not accurate or confirmatory.

Kindly also go through the note written on the test report which says that there might be cross reacting antibodies in blood due to other chlamydial infections like Chlamydia pnemoniae etc... that is what I told you.

Kindly go for a SWAB TEST/ NAAT TEST.... that would be accurate.

If you have long standing genital chlamydia (C. tracomatis infection) there is every likelihood that you would have infected you husband because the infection is easily passed on to sexual partners during unprotected sex and therefore your husband should have also tested positive by blood test but he did'nt..

My guess is that you don't have genital chlamydia and most likely your positive test is due to cross reacting antibodies to other chlamydial infection (C. Pnemoniae, C. Psittaci etc).

Therefore I suggest you to go for a SWAB TEST which is specific to genital Chlamydia (C. trachomatis)
