Brief Answer:
breastfeeding is enough

Detailed Answer:
Hello Mr XXXXXXX she is losing weight at right pace and it is very common and she should lose weight after delivery.
During pregnancy body accumulates fat and water to nourish the baby and help mother to withstand the process of labour.
Regarding your second query, breastfeed is a complete food and gives adequate water and nourishment to the baby.
There is no need to supplement the baby with any other liquid at all.
Take care.
